Agricultural Knowledge Management Unit

AKMU has been created and equipped with computers as central facility in the institute. The section is responsible for providing internet connectivity to all sections of the institute. Currently 50 computers/laptops are connected through LAN and being provided with internet services. Apart from this, section is also responsible for maintenance of Computer/Laptops/Printers/Scanners installed at the institute. The maintenance and data storage of CCTV cameras installed in the institute premises and Biometric attendance are done by AKMU

The section maintains centralised PCs for the use of staff of the institute with LAN facility. AKMU of ICAR-NRCO designs, develops and maintains various Android Applications and Website of the institute. The section developed and maintaining the virtual notice board where all the circulars, activities and events of the institute are displayed for the benefit of staff. All the digital applications are developed and maintained by the AKMU.

The section has been providing video conferencing facility to conduct important meetings/webinars through online mode.

The current apps in play store: Orchid Farming, OrchidoPedia, Orchid Pest Management and Orchid Man is developed.

New website (nrco.icar.gov.in) developed and hosted in the ICAR-DC by the section.
